Present for a godson

Postby Pippi Longstocking » Thu Feb 01, 2024 5:29 pm

Delighted to have been asked to be Godmother to a close friend's son. They are having the baptism in a few weeks and I would love to buy something special for a gift but not sure what sort of thing makes a great present for this sort of occasion.

If anyone has ever received anything that they thought was particularly lovely or special I would be very grateful to know.

Thanks!

a few years ago I bought my godson personalised cufflinks with his initials on one and his year of birth on the other. He hasn't worn them as he's still young but hope he will do so in the future.

I think personalised bookends are lovely and you can get some great ones on Etsy.

My nappy valley-based friend also makes beautiful pictures for christenings, where all the guests add their fingerprints so the child can remember everyone who was there for their big day! https://www.lizziebarton.com/childrens- ... guestbooks

I also like the idea of personalisable leather double or triple travel photo frames https://www.locketts.co.uk/products/mor ... hoto-frame? so the child can take it wherever they go, and keep updating the pictures. You definitely need to choose a photo or three to go in it though! Hope this helps x
