Which private health provider do you choose?

Postby Barbie » Fri Feb 02, 2024 11:07 am

We will need to organise our own private health soon and I am wondering which companies people mostly use and if anyone can recommend theirs. Looking to understand how much a typical family cost  for 4 including 2 young children will be. There are no significant existing health issues. Happy to pay a little more for the security of them paying out if necessary. Also, does your private health cover you if something happens overseas? Seem a bit of a minefield. Very grateful for any replies!

We use WPA and have found them to be very good at paying for things as and when we have claimed. We are a family of 4 although with teenage children. We pay around £500 per month for the family although this has jumped up a lot over the last couple of years.

We have cover through work but years ago I had to organise my own. I was advised to go through a broker and that was really helpful. They will do all of the legwork for you and supply a variety of options with costs. Good luck!
