Summer holiday resort with good tennis classes

Postby Flowermummy » Sun Apr 21, 2024 10:27 pm

Would anyone have any recommendations for summmer holidays resorts with good tennis classes for children (~10 years old)?
We have been to Pinecliffs in the Algarve and liked it. Any other recommendations in Europe?

The Mark Warner resorts are very good for tennis although no where near as luxurious as Pine Cliffs and a different holiday.  Martinhal would be more closely aligned in terms of luxury, it is in the south of Portugal is also good for tennis.

The tennis lessons at La Manga are the best we have come across though they are 11am-1pm and in the summer this is very hot! Lots of accommodation options.

Hello,
Chia Laguna in Sardinia have a good tennis academy. Sani in Greece have the Rafa Nadal tennis academy and the Ritz Carlton Abama in Tenerife has great tennis facilities and lessons too.
Feel free to get in touch with me if you would like details about each of these, I am an independent travel agent based in Clapham. I specialise in family holidays.

If you enjoyed Pinecliffs in the Algarve, you might want to check out La Manga Club in Spain. They've got a solid reputation for tennis programs, including ones tailored for kids. Plus, it's a beautiful spot with plenty to do beyond the courts.

Is this for all of you or just children?  I'm sure I can point you in the right direction.

Neilson's, Mark Warner offer good programmes for all of you.  I'm assuming you're not looking for a High Performance camp.  To be honest, pretty much every tennis club in Europe will run some sort of Junior Tennis Camp, so if an all inclusive programme like Mark Warner doesn't appeal, you could find somewhere you like first, then search tennis clubs from there.  I'd be really surprised if you didn't find somewhere.

The Ritz Abama in Tenerife is worth checking out. They have some very good coaches.

One of my tennis-mad children had a great time there. We went over Christmas and the weather was radiant.
