Does anyone have french conversation lessons and if so where do you go or who do you organise them through? A few friends are keen to brush up on rusty GCSE french

Yes. I can highly recommend Valou Byfield who is an amazing French teacher. Her pupils all adore her. She’s got a great sense of humour and teaches French in a way Ive never experienced before. I’ve been going to one of her conversation classes for years because I love it so much.
She’s been teaching for many years and has experience in every level from common entrance, adult conversation to university finals She gets excellent results for students taking GCSE’s and ALevels .

I'd recommend checking out Alliance Française—they have great classes and conversation groups. Another option is Meetup.com; you can find local French-speaking groups that meet regularly. For a more personalized touch, you might want to try iTalki for one-on-one sessions with native speakers. It's super flexible and you can choose a tutor that fits your needs and schedule. I'd like to second Camilla's recommendation for Valou Byfield as a French conversation tutor. I have been joining her conversation classes for years (French definitely improved!) and enjoy the mix of interesting topics - news, views, gossip, the lot! - as well as the clarification and instruction given as we go along, without impacting the chat. Valou is, imho, second to none.
