Morning all,

I know that people are quick to criticise and slow to praise, so just wanted to shout out James O’Leary from Travel Councillors for organising a ‘holiday of a lifetime’ to Sri Lanka for my family this summer.

James was recommended through another person on Nappyvalley, and I can see why.  We had quite a difficult brief – we have two daughters aged 14 and 16, one of whom is autistic, and wanted to do some cultural things for us, and some fun things like water sports for them.  James guided us through various countries before we settled on Sri Lanka.  He then created an 18 day itinerary, staying in five different places and with lots of things to do.  From hiking to safaris, whale watching to jet-skiing, he got the balance spot on, even arranging a quiet lounge for us to stay in at Colombo airport so my eldest didn’t find things too overwhelming.

I have used James three times and totally agree with what you say. He’s fantastic at doing all the heavy lifting with the research so that you don’t have to. He gets in touch before you go with suggestions for what to do and where to eat, he’ll check you in for your flights and he’ll keep in touch while you’re away to see that everything is going well and make any adjustments if necessary. Knowing that he’s got your back makes the travel experience so much more relaxing. I have booked lots of trips when all sorts of agencies from Trailfinders to Audley but I have never experienced such a personalised service as I have with James. And like Jonny I promise I’m not his personal PR consultant!!
