Worried about your child’s development?

Postby Children's Therapies » Tue Sep 20, 2011 1:27 pm

Children’s Therapies is expanding. We now offer a full range of therapy services to children and their families, including speech therapy, drama therapy, play therapy, yoga and relaxation classes, and parenting classes.

We take referrals from GPs and school SENCos, but you don’t need a referral – we’re often the first port of call for parents who are concerned but aren’t sure where to turn.

Many of our clients come to us because they are waiting a long time to be seen by the NHS; in this case we are happy to begin treatment and hand over to the NHS once you get an appointment if desired.

Below is a list of just some of the areas we can help with:

• Speech problems including late talking, stammering, selective mutism and verbal dyspraxia
• Delayed learning or social development
• Emotional trauma such as bereavement, moving schools, parental separation
• Friendship, social exclusion and bullying problems
• Support for families adopting and fostering
• Parenting classes and support
• Autism, attention deficit and disruptive behaviour disorders
• Problems with sleeping, nightmares, bedwetting etc
• Fussy eaters and obesity
• Post-natal depression
• Difficulties bonding with your baby or child
• Yoga and relaxation classes for anxiety

If you are worried about any aspect of your child’s development or emotional well-being, call us for an informal chat to see how we can help.

I also recommend Physio for All on Webbs road. They have paediatric physios specialised in children and osteos. They really help my child who was grinding his teeth and was walking with feet in> well recommended!
