Any Jane plan success stories on here?

Postby Minnie » Tue Feb 28, 2012 9:41 pm

I'm sick of bloody dieting. I don't seem to increase in weight, I don't loose, I just maintain.

I'm a vegetarian (no fish) so also find most diets impossible.

I've read about Jane Plan on here. I like the fact that you can have days off. So my question is, can you still loose weight on the 5 day plan? Do you have a success story and if so how many days a week was your plan?

I asked the same question at the at beginning of January and got quite a response. See link

I did it in January and managed to lose 10 pounds so can definitely recommend it.

Sorry, forgot to answer the rest of your post. I did the 28 day plan with no days off although I was out for supper quite a few nights and Jane gave me some advice on what to do when eating out and I still managed to lose weight those weeks so it must have worked. Not sure about the plan with 2 days off. I imagine Jane would advise you what to eat those days as well so as not to undo all the good from the previous days. You could always give Jane a call and ask her - she's very friendly and really wouldn't mind. I asked her thousands of questions!!

Hi,
Often our 'weekends off' clients are just as successful as our full plan clients losing on average 2-3lbs a week . We give lots of advice to clients on the weekends off plan on what to eat on those days off.
As for vegetarian dishes - for lunch we offer a wide variety of soups and pasta salads, cous cous salad and bean salads. For supper we offer food such as vegetarian lasagne, fusilli arrabbiata, three bean chilli, chickpea tagine, chickpea and cumin cassolet, cannelloni and gnocchi. In fact, we often recommend that vegetarians have about 1 or 2 nights off a week in order to keep the variety going.
I hope this helps.

HI Minnie

How did you get on last month? I have just started a 28 day Jane Plan and I think its going to be quite hard (I am hungry!) - would be great to hear any advice that you have. I am hoping that if I stick to it I can lose 10 pounds plus, Thanks Medway

Sadly, I'm not a success story. :(

I know it was a diet but it was just not enough food and the headaches whilst looking after my children were just hurrendous. I'm also quite picky with food and the taste were just not for my taste buds.

Maybe I just lack willpower!

I made a decision, no dieting until my kids are at least at school. I need the energy and if that means I have a rather large waistline and a few extra chins for a while then so be it! :D

I find you can't go wrong with weight watchers and exercise!

I am a BIG fan of the Jane Plan. I've lost approx one stone in 7 weeks. My daughter turns 2 in two weeks and I'm within a few pounds of returning to the weight I was before I got pregnant!!! Yippee!

At first I was a bit gob smacked that the portion sizes looked so small, but once you add plenty of vegetables and salads to your meals its amazing how full you feel.

For the first few days I had headaches, but once I upped the amount of water I drank it made a huge difference. For the first time in months I was waking up feeling really refreshed. And more importantly I felt like I was setting my kids a really good example - eating regular small meals and snacks rather than picking at rubbish all day.

Its so easy to follow the plan and most of the food tastes good.

I would thoroughly recommend.

Thanks Jane :)
