Slightly cheeky question, but anyone who is part of a nanny share with young toddlers in the Clapham area, can you tell us how much it costs, gross, per week please?

We are looking for a nanny to look after our two little toddlers, both 1 year old, on a live-out, nanny share basis four days a week – however we have been given such varying figures that we are unsure what the realistic going rate is for a nanny with decent experience of this age group! We’d be looking for a 10 hour shift max per day, with standard nanny duties (e.g. not expected to cook dinner for parents or similar)

We used to pay £11 per hour net.

Which I think works out at around £15-£16 per hour gross but not sure, as we paid the £11 to the nanny then a nanny tax agency sorted out the rest.

Anything between £10-12 NET per hour is typical of a nannyshare.

So for £10 Net per hour for 10 hour days (M-Th) = £574 gross pw.

I do a nanny share and we pay £11.50 an hour net - 4 days 11hours per day works out at about £1500 all in.
This is pretty average some charge a bit more £13 per hour and some a bit less £10 an hour but really you get what you pay for all the girls we interviewed who would take £10 - £10.50 per hour had little or no experience and very poor English in most cases.

My nanny asked for £11/hr for a nannyshare. I'd really recommend payefornannies.co.uk for their payroll services. I can't praise them enough helping me put the contract together, advising me on gross rate vs net rate equivalents & producing monthly payroll. I get really prompt, clear responses to any email I send them and being a family rum business outside of London it's much cheaper than nannytax.

Each family pays £6-8 an hour gross. If you have a highly experienced Nanny, go up..
