Beginners tennis class? Anyone?

Postby boonkoh » Tue Mar 13, 2012 11:26 pm

The spring has finally come and it is time to do some exercises! ;-) I am looking to take tennis beginners' class for adults starting after the Easter holiday and wonder if there are any like-minded people nearby so that we can form a group.

I have asked around - both Grafton tennis club and Telford Park tennis class offer adult beginners' class on weekends. If we manage to form a group of 4 or 5, the cost will work out to be 6-8 pounds an hour per head.

Let me know if you are interested!

I'd be interested in this. Evenings could work as well as some weekends. Where are these tennis courts? Clapham?

I would be interested, especially if you go to Grafton tennis club.

I run group classes for all levels at Clapham Common Courts. The next set will be starting after the Easter Holidays. I'll post the programme here too, or you can receive them direct if you email at julian@tennis-teaching.com

Many thanks,

FYI- Grafton is near Balham station, and Telford park is between Balham and streatham hill.

Will afternoon during the weekend work for you girls?

I can't commit to every weekend which is why I perhaps suggested during the week nights, especially now summer is approaching?

Would either of you be interested in Clapham Common courts?

Hi,

I'd love to join you. Evenings would be more difficult but could manage from 7.45pm onwards or could do most weekend afternoons.

Cheers

I am very keen! Only problem is my limited availability - Monday & Friday mornings are the only possibilities for me. If that works for anyone else please let me know. I'm happy to go to any of the venues mentioned so far. Also wondered about Wandsworth Common - will look in to the options there.

Hi all! I am very interested but also have limited availability.
Weekday evenings from 7.45 is suitable. I could sometimes do earlier and some weekend afternoons.

What a brilliant idea! (although I'll be laughably hopeless)

I'd love to join if I can. I just need to work around my newish baby's feed schedule. I could do 4pm weekends (or 2pm at a push) and any evening from 8.

Am I thinking we have roughly 5 people who can do weekday evenings from around 7.45/8pm?

Are we fussed on Grafton or Clapham? Where are most people based?

I live just off Clapham Common Northside but easy on either location as can cycle but pref would obviously be Clapham.

Ladies,

Again thank you for the interest. I have got in touch with the coach from Grafton. We can do either 10am-11am or 11am-12pm on Saturday. If we can form a group of at least 4-5 people, the cost will be £30 per month.

If any of you are interested in joining based on the above schedule, please send me a message with your name and contact email address ;-)
