Looking for someone to make window seat cushion

Postby loopylu » Fri Apr 27, 2012 12:25 pm

Hello
Please could you let me know if you know anyone who may be able to make a window seat cushion for me. I have the foam and a template but seem to be hitting lots of obstacles!
Thanks.

Try calling Fabrics Galore on Lavender Hill. I believe some of the people that work there do this, or else they definitely have numbers and cards for local people that can make these for you.

It's probably not that local to you, but our dressmaker is in fantasy dry cleaners vauxhall- she is very reasonable with her rates and is excellent.

She made our cushions and sofa throw for about £30 total incl. zip fittings. and also made bridesmaids coats for my wedding. She used to work as a seamstress for Stella mc cartney! she also makes gypsy wedding dresses she told me, which made me laugh!

The kids curtain company make them. They're reasonable and v quick. They have an adult site too but can't remember the name of it (maybe online curtain company or something like that). I've used them for blinds and for a headboard, both of which are fab.

They have lots of fabric but if they don't stock ur fabric u can send them the fabric u source yourself and they will make it.

Sitedoesnt say anything about box cushions but I know they do them as I was going to get some made but didn't need them in the end.

They are really helpful and answer all ur questions really quickly.

Hi,
I don't know whether you are still looking for a window seat cushion, but I think I can help you. I am in the process of starting up my own business making soft furnishing. As there is no middle man involved, the prices are kept at a minimal. My team at our London based workshop are capable of doing everything made-to-measure, and would be happy to come out and help you out. If you are intersted in any further information, please call Sophie on 07726177430. Best of luck with your project.
Regards,
Sophie

Jane at www.lilymatthews.co.uk is fantastic at all cushions, curtains, blinds etc. I definitely recommend her.
