Tiny Impressions administration

Postby bel35 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:33 pm

Hello. Just wondering if anyone else had heard the rumour that Tiny Impressions on the Northcote Rd is in administration?
If this is true, does anyone know who the administrator is and how to go about lodging a claim or how I might get my hands on my paid for but not delivered Tripp Trapp? Unfortunately I paid for it by maestro and can't claim it back from the bank.
If it's not true hopefully it's just the bad weather that has stopped them opening in a while.
Thanks

afraid it looks like they are, check out the companies house website and search for tiny impressions, details of administrator should be on shop door and on this website.

Oh no that was a lovely little shop! Perhaps Peppermint has taken all it's business, what a shame

Thanks for your help sja38. I contacted the administrator who said that the liquidation order was in 2008 and not related to the current business. So perhaps they are still alive and kicking? Although I still haven't had any communication from them and it has been 1.5 months since I placed my order. Which is a shame, as I specifically went to them as I wanted to support my local retailer. Guess I'll return to the internet. I hear kiddicare delivers in 48 hours...

Have you been into the shop? Are they there?

I have been a few times since the Christmas holidays with no luck. It may well be the weather. I hope.

If they are in administration then there should be a sign on the dorr. If you paid for the items you need to get in touch with them. It maybe that the company which owns the shop is not called Tiny Impressions so we need to search under another ref on the companies house website. Is there any info on the receipt they gave you/proof of purchase?

I hate to see any small business go under so I hope they're ok. The lady in the shop was really helpful, too.
We wanted to buy our cotbed from them - again, supporting local business - but they were considerably more expensive than Mothercare so our wallet made the decision for us. They also said they could order a particular highchair for us; I emailed to follow up, and never heard back from them.

They now trade under Tiny Experts which appears to be solvent and I didn't see a sign on the door the last time I walked past. I'll keep trying to get in touch with them and I'll keep an eye out for a sign just in case. Thanks sja, Julie

Re Tiny Impressions Northcote Road
I have been contacted by the landlord regarding the shop as he fears the tenant may have ceased trading and he will likely ask us to re-enter the property
I will let you know when I have formal instructions
If there are items in the shop I would normally post a notice in the window asking any claimants to contact us
Recommend you do a company search on the internet - get directors details and try to contact them directly - until recently directors of limited companies had to have their home address registered
Can you contact the supplier?

Very good of you to get let me know! And I would be very grateful if you would continue to keep me in the loop via this site or on 07977217324. If you are instructed please consider me a claimant. There are a couple of Tripp Trapps in the window that would suit us very well! Julie

You need to get in contact with the owner/director as if they have gone into administration it may not be on the company website yet and all claimants will be subject to the administration process (I am pretty sure this also includes any landlords debts unless he can prove he is a secured creditor).

Why not try calling companies house and see if you can sweet talk them into giving you the info for free and checking their system for recent info

Success at last! :D
The shop reopened last week and things have finally been sorted out. I don't know why it took so long but I don't really care - all's well that ends well.
Thanks to all who replied.
