Dishwasher needs fixing

Postby sparkletiger » Sat Jun 16, 2012 10:47 am

Can anyone recommend someone who can fix dishwashers?

Never buying Neff again! Washer dryer, dishwasher and microwave have all broken within 3 yrs. Aaaaargh as if life isn't difficult enough!

Hello
I have used the 'dishwasher doctor' - 07795 175001 or 0208 398 5524. Was very reasonable.

I too used the dishwaher doctor. Perhaps less of a doctor and more of a surgery receptionist, however the cost was a fixed price, I supplied the replacement pump, and he worked for about 10 hours to fix the problem. The drainage pump had failed (very typical fault on Neff, Bosch etc) but the pipe had got blocked probably as the pump was failing. It confused the hell out of the repairer that the pump was working but the DW still wasn't draining... Got there in the end.
I would type in the symptoms into google along with your dishwasher model. If the overall results indicate a main motor failure, throw the dishwasher away as it will not be cost effective to buy a new motor.
Good luck

Thanks! We (my husband) found a guy called teddy who came on Sunday and had it fixed within the hour. It was a valve and he said it was caused by not using the hottest/longest setting very often among other things. He said that only Finish products should be used as others clog them up. I use the quickest setting as it's quick, I thought prob more environmentally friendly and it gets things clean. He cost £100 and was very nice. He fixes all things kitchen appliance. I'd def use him again

Got his number if anyone interested
