Nanny rates when nannyshare please help!

Postby newtosw18 » Tue Jul 24, 2012 11:20 am

Hi there,

We're about to start with a nannyshare and need some guidance with the hourly rate. Our nanny will look after our youngest girl who will be 10 months and a friend of ours 11 months old boy. What is the going rate? Should there be a difference in hourly rate when they are under 1year?

Looking forward to hear from nannies and mums.
xx

Hi there,

I no most nannies charge around £11-£12 an hour net but im pretty sure makes no difference how old the child/children are.
Hope this helps

We pay our nanny £11/hour to watch two kids. The ages you mentioned are so close to one, I don't think that would make a difference.

Hi,
I run Nappy Valley Nannies and at the moment the going rates for a share depend on how much experience a nanny has as apposed to childrens ages etc. The current salary expectations are between £11 net per hour for a nanny with around 5 years experience and £12 per hr for nannies with 5+ we do have some nannies who have around 15 to 20 years experience who can sometimes ask for £13 ph.

Hope this helps!!

Good luck too :D
