Watch out this nanny if you come across her Locked

Dear mums dads,

I was so shocked to receive this so I think I should share it with you here. I waited half an hour in Starbucks for this lady to show up for her interview of the nanny job she applied for. She called me the day before to confirm the appointment. So I emailed her asked why she didn't show up and could not have the curtesy to inform me of changing plan. That may explains why she has so many short term jobs on her CV. Then this below is what she replied to me.

'Lol no i left jobs as they were poor pay and actually i like doing temp work it pays more money ,cheeky cow ,if ur so good why havnt u found neone ! It explains jack **** love'

Her name is LAURA PARKES.

We only started interviewing people this week and have met lovely nanny we like. So is not about we are the bad employer who can not find good nanny.

I would not mention it here if she did not sound so rude like this. Who would like to leave their children in the hands of such character?

How incredably rude! I forward a lot of nannies info to families looking, and this girl will have no luck if I ever get an application from her!

Just like what my husband said that lucky she didn't show up so we had avoid a risk of hiring a wrong person. In fact it is quite beyond my believe that someone is actively looking for work can be so rude like this.

Sense of humour or not I wouldn't rate her for reliability or having a good attitude after not showing up for an interview and giving that kind of response when asked why! I will hopefully remember her name as one to avoid for the future!

I'm always a bit sceptical of nannies who describe themselves as a 'loving nanny' in ads anyway. Its such a cliche! Fine if it is said in an employer reference but doesn't convince me coming from the nanny herself. Anyone who chooses to change jobs frequently doesn't come across as very loving or they would want to stay with the kids long term.

I also had a similar situation with this nanny - Laura Parks. I responded to an ad she placed on NappyValley

She was due to come for an interview at my house, when she hadnt turned up after 30 minutes I called her. She just said - i am busy and will call you back. no apology, no explanation for not turning up. then I heard nothing more. I agree with other posts.. I am in hindsight glad I didnt meet her and would warn anyone else off even bothering.

This is so weird. Another mum told me that she had the same experience with Laura. Didn't show up at interview and heard nothing from her. Why she advertise looking for job but doesn't turn up for the interviews just like that? Really can't understand.
