Any recommendations for a General builder

Postby LdS » Thu Mar 11, 2010 3:51 pm

Hi all,

We are looking for a builder who can do some repairs to our Bay window and front porch.
Not sure if the bigger builders will take on this job (think its a days work) so am wondering if anyone could provide any recommendations?

thanks

Hi
Thanks for using NappyValleyNet.

If I can jump in here! We've heard great things about the London Handy Team, they charge by the hour so it might be worth getting them to quote if its for a day only. I need to be upfront and say that they advertise with us but I wouldn't mention them if they didn't come recommended.

Details here...

Secondly, similar discussion here with some more suggestions....

Lastly, Ballonjane who is a good friend of NappyValleyNet has a husband who does all this sort of stuff. I haven't met him but if he is married to Balloonjane he must be a good sort, email is Toby@lyde.co.uk

Good luck and please do say how you got on and whom you used, its what makes the site work! :-)

Hi there

Our builder is great. Derek Ullah, 07973 737620. He redid our whole house, but he also comes round to do smaller jobs now and again when he's got time. Worth asking him to quote anyway.

Tell him Catie and Graham recommended him if you like.

Just wanted to say Thanks to Catie for her recommendation of Derek.
He's just finished the job on our front porch and we were very happy with his work but also his professional attitude.
So I would also be happy to recommend him to anyone for building works

:)

We are looking to tile our front area and porch, some black-white tiles and raised bed for bay trees.

Would anyone recommend good builder/s who did a good job? We live in SW18, Earlsfield?

If above mentioned still working in the area, would be happy to reach out but I see that the post is over 3years old so wanted to check.

I have to say, I now use NVN for any recommendations of workers/providers and have never been disappointed so thanks to those who recommend good people as it's easy to get lost in the sea of advertising)

Many thanks!
