Hi Ladies,

As full disclosure I work for Covetique.com and just wanted to provide some information and clarify our charging position. We do charge a seller commission of 37.5% and then VAT of 20% - which is charged on the commission and NOT on the product. That means that our full charges are 45% and the seller retains 55%. These charges are lower than most (all?) of the offline consignment stores who charge 50/50.

We will also send a courier to your home/office to collect your items free of charge - to save you the time and hassle.

In addition, we ship globally and reach a huge audience (we have buyers from all over Europe, the US and Asia) and so (anecdotally tested) we tend to achieve a higher resale value than other stores with smaller reach.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at any time Contact@covetique.com

Re: Where to sell?

I cannot believe that what set out as a genuine request for some creative ideas and suggestions has resulted in a number of responses suggesting this is a fake post. I am in dire straits having been made redundant, I have applied for 1 200 jobs, I have been unemployed for 2 years, the only asset I have left is the clothes and shoes that I accumulated over twenty years in retail. I do not have a husband to pay my bills, I live on £65 a week and as I have been unemployed for 2 years I no longer get any mortgage support. My mortgage is due for payment and if I don't raise the cash I will now lose my home. A friend suggested posting the question to see what ideas people have so that I can raise the money and keep a roof over my head. Sadly the majority have the time, and probably the money to live your comfortable lifestyles, to suggest my post is a fake. What is wrong with you all, something done in good faith has turned into some sour bitchy schoolgirl responses, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, what a sad load of women you must be.

Hi India
Nobody is suggesting that your post is a fake and i am sorry to read about your situation. All we are saying is that a person who sign up to praise a company and doesnt post again is suspicious. As Annabel who runs this website said in a recent thread, there is an etiquette to respect when you post on public forums. Dont take it personally and do enjoy your sale!

India, I received your email asking me to take my post down. But no I'm afraid I see no need to.

I'm sorry about your situation and I hope it improves for you but if you read my actual post, it was only Nicola C who I said sounded a bit fishy - not you, until you started getting so defensive.

Hi ladies, I have just happened upon this website from the Streetlife website. Just like to let you know that I run a dress agency (from home) in SW11 and sell new/pre-loved designer and top end high street clothes. Dee and Me did close- I think she was going to let it to a nail bar, but I haven't been to Webbs Road lately. Great shame, as it was a lovely shop.
I don't sell men's clothes, or copies of anything; and my rate is 60/40 in favour of the client. I do have quite a lot of stock at the moment, but can take some things, so for those of you who were looking for somewhere, bear me in mind!

but I asked how the story ended with India ... was it all a set up?

I love your poshfox website ... did dee and me copy you with their website because I looked at it and it's very similar in structure and layout? If they did they are out of order and you should ask them to take it down

Gosh, that's really rude excitera. I worked very hard on that website design. I hope you don't get people insulting your work so freely.

Apologies, didn't want to hurt anyone. But to my professional eye looks like Dee & Me didn't copy Posh Fox, like previous comment suggested...

Well, as stated, there was no copying going on. And if it looks cheap- I'm a small business, and didn't have 1000s to spend on website design when I set up, just wanted a presence on the internet.
