New Sainsbury's Local coming to Teddington??? Post Reply

I've heard rumours that the furniture shop, Calligaris, on Teddington High Street is to become a Sainsbury's Local.... does anyone know if this is true?? M&S will be furious!!

Yes, Sainsbury's have applied for this, decision was due yesterday but no word on decision yet. Huge opposition against it.

Oh, I'm not sure that's good news is it. Where's the opposition to it - I haven't seen anything about it. Nothing on Teddington town unless it's awhile ago...

I tweeted about the rumour and Teddington Town said that it's true... they also said there's quite a lot of opposition but didn't confirm from who.... suspect from all the lovely independents. Also said there's only going to be 6 car parking spaces available!

Oh right - so there's one coming to Twickenham Green and one to Teddington then. Local press is only covering the Green one. Wonder why there's no mention of Teddington.
