Suggestions for beach resorts in and around Barcelona

14 months in , we have finally booked a holiday . While not glamourous, Barcelona is where we are off to in August .
Some suggestions on child friendly resorts would be great. Happy to travel out of Barcelona for a good beach location since we have 6 days there.

Not very familiar with locales outside Barca city hence looking for suggestions .

Le Meridient RA Beach. It's about 1 hour drive from
Barcelona airport. On the beach and very good.

Sitges is the best place to go - there are some family resorts there as well as smaller places but some great bars, restaurants etc. The only thing is it is quite quiet out of season so make sure you research it a bit before you book!

Only an hour or so from the airport, on the beach etc. Lovely!
