Postby dancing_queen59 » Thu Feb 07, 2013 8:51 am

Hi,

Does anyone know someone we could see privately about our child's possible tongue tie?

Many thanks.

We used Katherine Fisher. We saw her at home in her private practice rather than waiting on the hospital waiting list for her....

i would NOT recommend a woman called Ann dobson... she was quite frankly a rip off merchant!!!! It cost us about £200 for a 10 minute appointment..

We used Graham Smith at Kingston Hospital for my son's Tongue tie when he was a baby. Very swift and efficient and from memory it only cost something like £80.

Hi,
I had a very different and positive experience with Ann Dobson, she cut my second son's tie quickly and minimised the impact on him and I as much as is possible, helped me to get him latched and followed up with phone/text advice and support.

In comparison I took number 1 son to a specialist at Parkside who was useless and then to the Dragon Centre at St. George's who only did a partial cut leaving my boobs in tatters as a result.
I have to say that holding your baby while it's done feels pretty brutal and takes it out of you a bit so might be best to enlist the help of a granny or husband for that bit but the results totally justified having it done. PM me if you want to talk more.

Hi

A little way out but I personally recommend all my clients to Peter Reynolds

Does your little one have an anterior or posterior toungue tie,

The reason I ask is it may not need doing.

Here is the link to Peter Reynolds

Hope this helps
