I am looking for a confident and loving special needs nanny to work with two adorable girls aged 3.5 years and 12 months.
My youngest daughter was born with chromosome disorder (like Downs Syndrome) and has spent 8 months in hospital. She has a tracheostomy and is fed milk via gastrostomy tube (but eats puréed food normally) and is ventilated at night. She is a very happy and sociable baby and is in a good routine.
My eldest daughter (typical) is also an outgoing 3 year old who absolutely adores her baby sister. She attends pre-school 5 afternoons a week and will be starting school in September.
We are looking for a nanny who will be loving and caring; somebody who is tracheostomy trained (not essential) and has experience of children with special needs. A nursing background would be an advantage, but again is not essential. The nanny will need to be organised, be able to multi-task to meet my youngest one's needs and be able to use her own initiative to organise stimulating activities for both girls. The days will ideally be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7am to 7pm. We can be relatively flexible but they need to be 3 consecutive days. This would be a great position for an experienced special needs nanny who is looking for new challenge.
