Good drycleaner for (ancient) christening dress

Postby NickyA » Fri Mar 15, 2013 10:27 am

Please let me know if you can recommend a good quality drycleaner - looking for somewhere to take a very ancient christening dress, that is in need of a re-vamp and clean. Thanks!

My friend took her vintage wedding dress to Jeeves of Belgravia in Wimbledon Village - they do a collection service too and are very experienced in wedding dresses etc - they also have a royal warrant for dry cleaning for HRH prince of Wales too

For more information please contact the Couture Manager on 020 8809 3232 who I am sure will be happy to discuss your cleaning and preservation requirements.
good luck x

Many thanks for the responses - Geeves of Belgravia in Wimbledon were v helpful and confirmed around £35 to clean a christening dress. Was all set to take it there, but thankfully tried for size first and my chubby little girl has outgrown it :-( Now on a hunt for another dress....any tips welcome!

Yes I could do that - but sadly the arms are too chubby for the little sleeves....I should have christening her earlier!
