Gosh what an earful you gave me!

I am talking about my experience as in the last year only if i add up the number if parties i brought my kids too (somehow my husband thinks it is my job on a saturday afternoon ), it sums to about 40. I ve seen everything from very posh ones to normal down to earth kiddies' party.

The most fun parties for both kids and parents have bern the ones where the parents of birthday were involved not just an entertainer

You post on a public forum for some "volunteer" i apologise for pointing out a. I think you are pricing on thr high and b. Not so much for volunteering.

And you still fail as to precisely state in what ypur parties are different from say Bertie and Boo.

But well done for having landed a £2k contract.

I'd pay £250 for my child's birthday party; my son's probably cost about that, we had 21 children plus parents. But you want it to be a school day of your choosing and we have to schlep to Clarkenwell. Am sure you put on a mighty fine party but that's asking quite a lot.

I guess Miss Muppet it depends if your 5yr old is in state or private school.
It's quite common for a child's fist birthday at primary school to include the whole class as they haven't yet forged little groups of friends, and then they are bound to have friends outside school from their nursery, NCT group etc..

My child had 40 children at their 5th birthday party - however it cost about £220 and every child had a wonderful time. Not really sure what the benefit is of taking up the OP on their offer?

Hooray Entertainment- this seems like a FABULOUS offer for what you are willing to organise and with all the extra activities, decoration and food you are offering. On this post it is clear to me that you are asking simply if anyone is interested...not for endless opinions from people who aren't in the event/entertainment business but think that they can tell you how to run your company. I don't have any children's birthdays coming up sadly. But would have gladly paid £250 to have all that organising done for me.

OllieGIrl - exactly my thoughts ! Really ? If you are not interested... skip the post and read something else. No opinions were asked as to whether this was a good / bad deal so why this urge to tell everyone how to do things ??

Olliegirl and So Confused - I think what got a few peoples backs up was the initial request for a volunteer which when you click on the link the expectation is that you are offering your services for free not a fee.

Also, the first pitch then asks for £250 and didn't really explain what you got for it that would make anyone spend £250 for a party hence my post asking for more details.

Only after probing does the information about the type of party, length, entertainment etc come out and in the meantime the way Hooray Entertainment has handled his/her communications on this may have alienated potential future clientelle.

However, as you both see benefit in the service being provided hopefully his/her business will thrive and someone will take up the offer of a weekday party.

As for Bacon exploisions - treat with caution as they are deadly
