Has anyone had a water softener installed in their home, and if so who did you use? I have had a quote from Harvey's, but it came in a little bit higher than expected, and would be interested to speak to a few other recommended companies.

Hi, we are also thinking about fitting a water softener. Roughly how much will it cost? And how often do you need to change the filter? Can you still drink water out of the tap? Thx

Hi

Water softeners vary in price depending on size and quality. A good water softner is around £800.

The life of the filter depends on how many bathrooms you have and how often you run water. Usually needs to be changed every 6 weeks. You can still drink from the tap.
