I used Soul Gardeners a recently to prune a couple of trees in my garden. They did a fantastic job. They removed the green waste, also prepared some of the large logs for firewood for me. They were very polite and professional. Would recommend checking www.soulgardeners.co.uk

already a lot of traffic on this topic, so will keep it short. We bought a house this summer and the garden required some maintenance (weeding, cutting back, pruning, ...), we have used TFLS.

I would strongly recommend them, very efficient, clear and detailed quote with no surprise at the end. Very friendly and honest about what could be done and what could wait until spring, ...

We liked their honesty, their professionalism and the focus on a great service while building the relationship for the future. No hard sell and no hidden cost (like parking or extra hours)...

YOu can find them on tfls.co.uk

Thought I would add the gardeners we use: Sarah & her team from Ed's Garden Maintenance

http://www.edsgardenmaintenance.co.uk/

Sarah covers SW17 and around and I have had her team tending to our garden for a number of years now and have always been happy.

The team are polite and always suggest things only when needed.
eg I had some very bear patches of earth at the front of the house and they suggested I bring some colour to that area so they filled with bulbs in readiness for the new season, free of charge.

Not sure what the going rate is - and I know theyre not the cheapest but they are reliable.

Another recommendation for soul gardeners! We just used them to clear the garden and they worked tirelessly all day for quoted amount until work was done. I couldn't believe what they had achieved. They were polite and helpful. I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will be using them again. They transformed my garden into somewhere I actually want to be (despite the weather!)

We use an Aussie gardener called Ben. I saw an ad of his on Gumtree and he has been over to sort out our small back garden three times now. It always looks great after he has finished and is then promptly messed up by our toddler.

He's a pleasant guy, charges £15 an hour and works hard. I'd recommend him.

His number is 07773 239310

Well done Soul Gardeners, it's nice to see so many good reviews so I can't see this without adding a few words ;) Me and my Wife have been using Soul Gardeners for our garden maintenance for the last 2 years and couldn't be more happy with the work. Our plants and lawn look so much healthier.

Hi
Just a recommendation for the Guys at Soul Gardeners.

Danny and the team felled 3 trees for me - two of them large and over the size of a two story house.

The three of them took a day to complete the job and did fantastic work. The trees came through my decking so quite tricky and my decking was undamaged, they also had to take all the waste through my house. The garden was cleaned well and so was the house. I was very happy with their work.

Best of all was the price. They were by far the cheapest and I had quotes from dedicated tree surgeons who wanted 2.5 times the price quoted but couldn't have done a better job.

All three guys were very polite and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I too am more than happy to vouch for Soul Gardeners - they seem to have quite a fan base on here which speaks for itself!

Reliable, friendly, polite and very hardworking. I was impressed with the care they took to make sure they didnt leave any mess - either in the garden or when taking the green waste through the house. We will definitely be using them again....

The guys from Soul Gardeners took down a large conifer tree, which was blocking the sun from my garden. They did an excellent job on the tree and also left the garden in a better state than they found it, which was nice. I was worried that they had to take the cuttings through the house, but they left it spotless, by laying a carpet to walk on and swept up any mess. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs any tree surgery done.

Just out of interest, what do SG charge per hour for garden tidy ups?

I chose Lucy the Gardening Lady from this site. One of her team came over a couple of weekends' ago and blitzed my garden. He cut back climbers, pruned a holly tree, weeded, and dug over my garden (front and back) bagged up and removed all trimmings and swept. He also kindly agreed to carry on after he finished here with my next door neighbours for a further 1.5 hours. He was polite and courteous, tidy and did the job well. I will certainly be contacting Lucy's lot again in the summertime. :D

Can anyone give any up to date recommendations for a gardener? For various reasons we can't use Lucy the gardener or soul gardeners. Has anyone used anyone else this summer? (Some of the recommendations on this thread are v old)

Thanks

My husband runs a gardening/landscaping business. Try thegroundsman.net or call Simon on 07949 141 298. He works in the SW London and Surrey area.

I would like to recommend Soul Gardeners. We have been using them to maintain our garden since the start of the year and it has made a big difference. They're really hard workers.
