Battersea Estate Agent needed - who to use/who to avoid???

Postby KelliDoug » Mon Jun 10, 2013 9:27 am

We are considering selling our 3 bedroom flat on Battersea Park Road and would love some referrals of good estate agents that are both experienced in selling in this area and knowledgeable about the changes going on at Nine Elms and the power station and how they may affect our property value.

Any recommendations or advice on ones to avoid welcome too.

Thanks so much!!

Hi KelliDoug,

I help run the Winkworth Battersea office on Lavender Hill - we're one of the longest-running offices of the Winkworth chain, having been here for over 27 years.

We've had a lot of enquiries about the Power Station and how it'll affect property prices when work starts this October. We also know all about Nine Elms and the impact it's having on Battersea and surrounds.

If you want to know more, the best person to speak to would be Simon, our Associate Director, who you can reach on 020 7228 9265, or Nick our MD is on 020 7828 1786. Call either of them for a free, no obligation chat and they'll be more than happy to help.

Hope that helps!

I sold a two bed flat in one of the mansion blocks near the park almost three years ago now. It's a while ago but based in my experience I would definitely avoid KFH. Amongst other things, they put a lot of pressure on me to accept a low offer - or had inflated the asking price which I specifically asked them not to. It's a shame as I had used them previously and they were great, but the branch manager had changed in the interim which I suspect was behind the very different experience.

James Pendleton were just setting up in the area when I was selling and I would consider them as they did seem to have moved to take afvantage of changes to the area. I also liked them personally.

My tip is always to go on a viewing with a few of the agents first to see how they actually sell a place and whether you like their approach.

Thank you Clare. This is so helpful. Funny enough I called James Pendelton and left a message with the office staff and never received a call back. The tip on going on a few viewings with their staff is an excellent idea. Thanks again, Kelli

Hey there

It may be a bit too far away for you, but I can whole-heatedly recommend John D Wood in Clapham South. The people there, in particular Alistair and Simon, have been professional, courteous and helpful. Even when things didn't go to plan!
