Would you recommend living in Wandsworth town?

Postby Calaya » Tue Jun 25, 2013 10:42 pm

We are interested in a new development in Wandsworth and are hesitating between the area next to the shopping mall or the osiers development facing the river. Could anyone comment on these areas? Would you suggest one place rather than another?
Thanks

Hi, we live in wandsworth and would definitely recommend living nearer to the shopping mall rather than the osiers development. Its a better location and attracts more like minded people.

Thanks very much. very useful info. It's funny you said that because we thought that the water front was nice and less chaotic than the shopping mall area. Do you think that the rent for a similar spec is more expensive near the mall or near the river?

Many thanks!

Thanks very much to both of you for your feedback. Much appreciated.
I've also noted this morning that the block of flat near the river is right under the Heathrow flight path and I believe the noise will be quite significant while sleeping even though they have triple glazing.

Would you be able to comment on this?

many thanks

I'm sure it wouldn't be that bad as our house has no double glazing and i find it fine. (i am a v light sleeper)
good luck - go for it. You wont regret it at all. wandsworth is awesome and I had a friend live in a flat in a block close to the river and she loved it.

Hiya,
I live right by Wandsworth Town station and absolutely love it!
I can walk to the shpping centre and there's parks local, the people are very friendly.
I am very glad, I do not live right by the shopping centre as it has alot of drunks, young people drinking alot and behaving badly. This is my opinion other people may not agree.

Hope it helps xx
