American Mums?

Postby caroline5553 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 11:00 pm

Any other American mums (moms!) interested in a playdate? I'm married to a Brit, our daughter is 11 months-old and we live across from Battersea Park. I'd love to find other mums who are familiar with words like diapers not nappies, strollers not prams, cribs not cots... You get the picture.

Let me know if you're out there!

Hi, I'm a new transplant too! We just moved from California with a two-year old daughter and another due any week now. I am in the midst of trying to get settled and some familiarity would be welcomed--as would any tips and recommendations. Despite being with a Brit for ages there is a lot for me to learn! We are located between the commons but I am hoping to be more mobile in a week or so and would love to arrange something.

This week is great for me as we are in between activities and summer camp things starting next week so I'm free. Anyone up for meeting in Wandsworth Common this week?

Yes, I can meet you at the Wandsworth Common playground by the Coffee Shop at 2:30PM on Friday. See you there, and anyone else who can make it.

I'm yet another from California...although I have 4 and they are a bit older (6-12). I've been in London 4 years but only in the local area a few months. I will pop by Common Ground on Friday! Always happy to meet other American women here! Thanks for posting!

We're on holiday this week and out of the country, but common ground on Wandsworth common works great for us for any future meet-ups and Fridays are good for me too. Please do let me know if there's another meet-up - I would absolutely love to meet some other California natives!
