Hi everyone
I have now stopped working so sadly i can no longer justify having our lovely nanny with us and will be available as of next week.
She has been with us since September 2012 and has been an active member of our family from day 1.
She is enthusiast, smiling, engaging, proactive and energetic. She is a genuine person who obviously loves children (it is not just a job) and she values both my children individually and together. She engages with them, talk to them and always make eye contact.
She works for us 3 days a week. On those days she would do everything: from picking up from school to putting them to bed throughout feeding them, arranging playdates, playing with them, taking to the park, library and other various places, playdates, etc. She went to their school play, and has been genuinely interested and in touch with their lives.
Knowing i could trust her as allowed me to concentrate on my work on these 3 days. Often staying very late if a meeting/presentation was longer than expected. She is on time, thorough and she listens. For me the fact that she flexible is/was a huge bonus. My daughters said to me yesterday that "i like you dont work anymore but i want to see my nanny again".
We had a good working relationship with an excellent level of communication. I would value her comments and likewise i told her every little things about their emotional developments, anxiety, etc. and this allowed us to always be consistent with the kids. It was even more important they were not used to have me working as i always worked from home since they were born.
A kind family would be lucky to have her, i highly recommend her. Hopefully she will be available for some babysitting!
