Thanks everyone for all the wonderful advice. Well I have contacted PALS at St Thomas' and they are going to setup a debrief for me once they have all my notes together. After that I will see how I am feeling and perhaps sign up for the hynobirthing class to see how I feel about about trying VBAC.

Good luck , you can always call me if you need more help (relaxation/breathing /coping statergies etc ) and perhaps Postnatal classes will help when you have your beautiful new baby.

Hello VHopeful

I think all the above advice is brilliant.

I would just add that having a Doula can also be very assuring. I am a doula and have supported women who have had a traumatic birth experience and gone on to have wonderful VBAC births the second time around.

Have a look at www.doulauk.org for more information about what doulas do and see if it might be for you.

I wholeheartedly recommend Maggie Howell's natalhynotherapy. She does have a CD for women who previously had a c-section and are hoping for a VBAC.

I'm not about plugging my own services, but if you'd like to, feel free to contact me through www.birthbright.com or through Doula UK.

All the very best,

Sarah Pearman
