Phil and Ted v2 sport warning check recalls

Postby Sfish » Mon Aug 19, 2013 10:28 pm

For everyone who has an older PnT buggy please check what version you have and make sure you have ordered the free hinge protectors for older models highlighted in the product recalls. See http://m.pushchairtrader.co.uk/en/news/ ... ds-recall/
I dont mean to scare anyone but i had no idea our buggy model was affected and i managed to amputate my finger tip and fracture the bone opening our collapsed buggy last week. PnT have ignore all calls and messages but I just want to spread the word so this does not happen to anyone else. It's incredibly debilitating while it heals looking after two children's and rather traumatic for a toddler to witness!

My goodness! How horrible for you! Wishing you a speedy recovery and I'm off to check my serial numbers now!

Just so you all dont stress too much - this was an issue only for buggies destined for the US and Canada so unlikely to affect many in the UK and was 2 years ago on old style buggies from 2008-2010.

I didn't not intend to stress anyone, but our buggy was purchased from leading uk on line retailer (don't want to name names) and I know many people buy second hand so you wouldn't know. So if anyone has an old sport version please check, it only takes two minutes and you can get a free hinge kit if needed that will prevent it happening. I don't want this to happen to anyone else, Its a total nightmare and i am still at the Hospital once a week. I am annoyed with myself as this could have been avoided!
