Any plans to allow those who are based by the meteor street site of Belleville school to be allowed to access these facilities as opposed to the catchment area being taken from the original site.

If anyone has a specific complaint, then I will look into it.

Re: Honeywell and Belleville

There is a need for more reception places in Northcote Ward, although the opening of Rutherford House has helped. Belleville was expanded to a four-form entry school recently and has little space for further expansion.

It might be possible to expand Honeywell School, either on-site or nearby, but it would mean reducing play space which I suspect would not be popular with either the school or the present parents.

Is the primary school Trinity St Marys also oversubscribed?

Re: Trinity St Mary's

Last year all parents that applied for a place for their child got one.

Thank you for answering re. Trinity St Marys

My concern is that I feel some schools are "anointed" by the council for special treatment.

So if everyone who wants to can get a place at Trinity St Marys but you see a new free school FURTHER away from Honeywell and Belleville as a solution to their overcrowding (as per your last reply) shouldn't we be focusing on improving less popular schools rather than "stepping over" them and opening new ones.

I felt the same about Chestnut Grove and Bolingbroke. The money spent on that building was incredible when CG wasn't oversubscribed.

So my question, in the context of the above, what plans are there to improve Trinity St Marys?

Thanks!

As Trinity St Mary's is a Church of England school it does not suit all parents. It is, however, a good school.

And you are wrong about Chestnut Grove school not being oversubscribed. 857 parents applied for 165 available places for their children.

Hi!
Not sure if I am too late .. but wondering what news there on the One O'clock clubs and whether they will be opening in the afternoons - nothing seems to be happening at Windmill Road one and some of us were considering putting together a group of volunteers to try and have something affordable available - but haven't been able to get a response from the council as yet ...

Many thanks!!

Emma

Hi
I am afraid Ms Tracey has left the building!

Thank you to everyone who has taken part.

For all of your questions and for Councillor Tracey for answering!

I hope we can repeat the exercise very soon!
