Still looking for a Wedding Band..

Postby mummag » Tue Oct 29, 2013 4:11 pm

Sorry to ask again but I am really struggling to find a decent band for our wedding next year. If you have seen anyone at a friends wedding or know any good bands... Please let me know.

Thanks so much.

We used Fully Funktional - terrible name (in my opinion!) - great band. At least 2 lots of friends/family have used them since, and one of the other brides was a professional vocalist, so I take that to be a good sign.

Another friend used Real Vibe. A guy called Phil Merriman heads them up. Great musicians again, and the vocalist was fantastic.

We, my sister and many other friends have used '29 fingers' - they're absolutely brilliant!

I absolutely love Siblings - they do weddings and are now being selected for festivals/ gigs across the county. Check this link to the BBC introducing stage at Glastonbury this year. They appeal to a wide cross section and do covers at weddings as well as their original music. Lovely guys too!

I met their manager who's email address is, pete@carbonlogic.co.uk

Hope that helps - they really are brilliant!!

Good luck.

Brilliant at our wedding, based in Guildford. And I know Chris Hughes the drummer. Highly recommended.

Great if you are looking for a lively party atmosphere, they also look the part! (Disclaimer my brother is in this band so I am biased! But they've played this year at some swanky weddings plus Glastobury, Bestival etc)

We also used Fully Funktional ...... and was about to post exactly the same as a previous poster - DREADFUL name, but wow what a band - amazing voices, energy, live instruments. Everyone talked about them afterward, and they looked fab in the photos too. Very slick, very very good and very personable.

Hi,

I had this band play at my 30th Birthday Party a few years ago when they were a 2-piece band and they were just brilliant. They often used to play at a local pub in Earlsfield. They have really good banter and are almost a bit comedic as well as great musicians. Their muscial repertoire is amazing ... you can just about request any song and they can play and sing it!

I don't think their video on their website does them a huge amount of justice though to be honest!

Good luck in the search!

Hi! My husband plays in a band and they often do weddings. The band is called the Mississippi Swamp Dogs, which is a cover band, and is great! You can find them through an agency called Jazz Not Jazz. They have also jazz bands. http://www.jazznotjazz.co.uk/

Cheers!!
