Twittersphere reckons its to be on the site of the Locale Restaurant on Ritherdon Road which is closing down.

So now we can spend the whole day on Ritherdon Road...

1) Breakfast at Deelight
2) Lunch at French Cafe
3) Dinner at Bodeans

It was always v nice went I went but I never really went.

I can imagine being dragged to Bodeans by the kids though...

Seems to be all change on that stretch of Balham High Road - anyone know who is taking over the lease of the old Thai Buffalo??? Would be good to have a new local restaurant.

I went to Locale a few times since I moved to Balham 5 years ago and the quality of food has deteriorated a lot in the past 12-18m. Went last time on Jan 1st this year and food was reheated... never went back. My favourite Italian remains Ciulloosteria further up going towards Clapham South. As an Italian I can well recognize fresh quality ingredients.. Locale was not like this anymore. Shame as we had lunch for mother's day twice and it was lovely organized...
