Saturday morning activities

Postby busy bee » Tue Nov 19, 2013 10:12 am

Hi there,
Does anyone know of any Saturday morning indoor activities in Wandsworth , Clapham or Battersea for a 2 year old?
I need to get my daughter out of the house for most of Saturday and with winter approaching there is only so much time we can spend on the playground / in the parks.
I have been back at work for over a year now, so am a bit out of touch with local toddler activities .
Any advice / ideas would be great .

the lovely bookshop on the Pavement in Clapham Common (under the greenwood tree) has storytime for children at 11 every Saturday. Quite often they get a book author/illustrator to read the story and engage the children in some activities. Other times is only a member of staff doing the reading, but still lovely!
Also, I haven't been yet but few parents take their little ones to Toddler Time at the Picturehouse Cinema. There is a market every Saturday in front of the cinema so it's a nice way to get some shopping done too!

We've just started swimming lessons at Trinity Hydro Centre on Saturdays and thinking about my daughter starting the Move to Music classes on Saturdays run by Fancy Footwork in the New Year which is for 2+. There's loads of different things on in the area it depends what sort of things your daughter might be interested in... The What's on sections of Nappyvalley.net and **** have good listings or the free local 'Families' magazines.

National Army Museum soft play (Chelsea - short bus ride). Book ahead online to ensure you can get in. It's a Kid's Thing in Earlsfield. Become a member there, or - if you have no regard for your own sanity - Gambado in Chelsea.
