Bike riding aid.

Postby Oeuf » Mon Nov 25, 2013 11:11 am

Does anyone know of a back-saving device that you can buy when helping a child to learn to ride a bike? Our 5 year old is desperate for a bike this Christmas but refuses both stabilisers and balance bike as they are "not proper bikes". Both my husband and I suffer from bad backs so dreading having to run along behind him, holding the saddle! I think there is something called the E-Z bar that you can get in the States but can't work out how to get this or something similar over here?

Got to Halfords and buy a handle that you attach to the rear axle. It's about £19.99, you can re-sell it on this site and there'll be plenty of takers. I think it's called a Balance Buddy. I have one but it's being passed around and is spoken for until at least Feb/Mar.

Instead of buying the handle bar I would suggest you contact Fred at ( http://www.pedal4health.co.uk ).
My kid was peddling away after just one session with Fred.
