Does anyone know any good Caterers for a Party?

Postby nvmof3 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 11:52 am

Does anyone have a good recommendation of a caterer to do a drinks party for 60 people in our home between the commons. We are thinking canapes rather than supper. We'll need waiting staff too. Any suggestions or people to avoid?

Hi

I can recommend an amazing Italian chef called Nicola. He and his wife Taryn run "Foodology", their Bespoke Catering service, in SW London. The food is amazing and they can organise everything for you - even the waiting staff and the clearing up afterwards!
email: tarynicola@hotmail.com or tel. 0208 671 7779 or call Taryn on 07882 634 564.

Have a great party!

Try http://www.firstservecatering.co.uk/ who have an excellent reputation. I'm sure they can give you a rough idea by phone or email before you commit.
Have a great party, Mary :)

I recently photographed a party where Mustard Catering were serving their canapes. They were really great nibbles and dangerously delicious!!!

They do tasting sessions where you can try their different dishes.

Good luck!

Mimosa in Herne Hill are totally amazing. There is a Deli on Half Moon Lane but they also do catering. They did buffet and canapes for my wedding 6 years ago and I've used them for 2 naming ceremonies and several other events since. They were way cheaper than any other caterers I looked at and organised staff as well as co-ordinating with the florist and venue themselves. Food is amzing with North African and French menus but they are totally flexible and will do whatever you want. I arranged my wedding from New Zealand and only arrived back in England 3 days before, they sorted everything out for me yet I only paid for the catering. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Hi, I used this great guy called Dickie Inston, company called Cakes & Ale, for the last 2 years he has catered our Xmas drinks party and also my kids parties. Tel. 07850 870 918 He does THE BEST canapes and also has lots of wine experience so can recommend and purchase whichever you prefer, your drinks too. Does cocktails if you wish. He is all for finding really good wines at a decent price - which we really liked.

Jane Sutherland is fablous - 07790 007528. She's a Barnes based mum of two grown children, a wonderful cook and runs her catering as a family business. I highly recommend her.
