I think the original poster should apologise to the school , a case of not checking ones facts before publically slandering a school which understandably is concerned with the safety of its pupils.

Thank you Clare. I was wondering abou this thread as well... all seemed a bit not right.

It is good to hear that a local school is caring about both children and trees.

Amazed that after announcing a "Clapham Tragedy" the OP could not get the facts right especially when by the sounds of things the school were pretty open about the facts and had obtained all the appropriate permissions from the Council.
