Blueyedgirl

It is very obvious from the thread that this is not a vendetta and that in the situation described by the OP you were quite rude.

It is also obvious that some of the jokes on this thread were equally rude.

But people are allowed to and should "warn" others as you advertised for some work as a nanny on a public forum. As a nanny you just cannot behave like that because that job is solely based on trust and gut feeling: no matter all the references, checks, etc at the end of day you are on your own with their kids in their house and you have a key.

Of course you should stand up for yourself (and the jokes made about you were not nice), but you should start by apologising to the OP and explain yourself clearly (sorry but it is difficult to read you).

So far YOU have let yourself down.

Dear Laura,

For safety reason, am not going to give you my full name and address as you've asked. You can leave that to police to find out in their investigation.

I am now so glad that we did not meet up. In fact it is very alarming that with the way you present yourself here, I am so glad that my children will never need to be left care in your hands.

I have never come across people like such a character even outside the Childcare field.

A feeling lucky mother :-)

Locking this thread

Postby Annabel (admin) » Sun Nov 11, 2012 4:22 pm

Hi
I think I need to lock this thread as it appears to have run its course.

Whilst I I believe that the mothers on NappyValleyNet have a right to discuss any situation which they may feel would impact their childcare, Laura also has a right to reply to the comments made about her.

I am pleased to see that Laura has taken this opportunity and I will now lock the thread.

Thank you everyone for taking part.
