It was only after an extensive exchange I realised their mistake.

It's a soft "ch" at the start, try "shhhabbers"

Its short for chablis.

I think this is a wind-up. If it were for real there would be information about the production company, what channel etc, and the way its worded sounds suspect. As for the spelling - is a privet school a school with a hedge around it?

No way would it be from a yahoo account. My guess is it could be a journalist, imagine the article "I put up a spoof casting call and look at the replies I got"

Anyway, can't imagine anyone, no matter how vacuous, would fall for that c***

I can disclose that in a moment of shameless publicity seeking (not sure that's English but you know what I mean!) I emailed the OP and asked them to consider changing the title to "The Real Housewives of Nappy Valley" but I have heard absolutely nothing back.

I've Googled the email address, the IP address and anything else I can think of and am getting a blank.

It could be a hoax, but why???
