Two lovely families living in Balham are looking for a live-in nanny. The nanny will live at one home and spend the daytime at the other neighbouring home. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with two easy going and kind families.
The role is to look after two babies aged around 6 months, one boy and one girl. The ideal candidate must be able to keep the babies in routine as well as being fun and energetic. We are looking for a nanny that has some baby experience but we feel that the right person could also just love children and build their experience within this role. Ideally the candidate would have some experience of looking after twins or two babies but this is not essential.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 7am to 6pm. The parents are all professionals and work full time. Babysitting duties will be required from time to time also.
We are providing a gorgeous private room fully furnished with ensuite and full use of the rest of the home. The second home is only a couple of minutes’ walk away and this is where we would like the nanny to look after both babies during the daytime. We would like the nanny to enjoy taking the babies to classes, playgroups and social get-togethers with other local mums, nannies and babies.
The two homes are on the edge of the beautiful Tooting Common with coffee shops and lots of things to do. Everything is within walking distance so no driving is required but we are happy to insure the nanny on one of our vehicles if needed.
We would like help with weaning and therefore you should be able to cook healthy, fresh meals for the babies. We have a good list of recipes that you can use and we will also be providing some meals.
Both families employ cleaners and only light household duties (emptying/loading dishwasher, putting groceries away, dropping off/collecting dry cleaning) will be required.
English as a first language is great, otherwise, a good grasp of English is important.
The babies are lively, curious and energetic. They are already in a routine so that should be considered for activities but they are generally easy-going and fun to be around. They are also already attending several classes and playgroups a week and we are keen for this to continue. We would like them to explore new activities as they get older and will provide pocket money to enable this. It is important that they get outside every day – whether that is a buggy walk or to a scheduled activity. We will provide a double buggy for ease of getting around town.
Above all, we are looking for a long-term, reliable nanny with lots of energy and enthusiasm.
