Full time Nanny required from June

Postby Weno » Tue Apr 02, 2019 10:02 am

We are looking for a live out nanny to look after our 8 month old baby boy and our two older sons, 5 and 8 (who are currently attending school in West Norwood) from 8 until 5pm Monday to Friday. The role is to start end of May/beginning of June. As the role will involve dropping off and picking up our two eldest boys from school, you must be able to drive.

The job involves the following:
- cooking healthy, varied and balanced meals for the children
- taking the baby to the park, local playgroups and activities, and on play dates with other children of a similar age
- taking our two eldest boys to and from school and after-school clubs
- ad hoc babysitting from time to time in the evening, planned in advance
- keeping children’s toys and bedrooms tidy and organised
- some washing of the children's clothes

We are fun loving, warm family, that loves entertaining our family and friends, making food together and getting out and experiencing the world – whether that’s a game of rugby at the weekend or adventurous holidays to visit our family who live across the globe, from New York to Hawaii. Our eldest is very creative, plays guitar and loves music and drama, our middle child is very active and a keen rugby player and the baby is a happy, contented, smiley baby who is a joy to be around.

Our home town of West Norwood is a great area for kids. There are lots of interesting playgroups and activities at the new library and cinema and the newly refurbished South London Theatre, as well as the leisure centre and we have a skate park, playground and football pitch right next to our house. The larger parks of Brockwell, Crystal palace and Dulwich are all a ten minute drive or bus journey away.

It’s important to us that our children are read to and are encouraged in lots of messy and creative play. I’d also be keen for them to be outdoors and active as much as possible, and would love to hear from someone who is happy to plan the odd trip to central London to make the most of all the wonderful museums and sights we have on our doorstep. We want someone keen with ideas, who will follow our general routine but is also happy to make suggestions and come up with ideas of things to do, food to eat, social activities etc.

The ideal person for this job would be a sociable, sensible, positive nanny for whom nannying is a career and who is interested in encouraging the development of our children. We would like someone ideally who lives nearby and/or has a good knowledge of the local playgroups and activities. Non-smokers only please.

If you think this job is of interest, please respond with a CV. Must have a recent DBS, and first aid certificate, and be Ofsted registered (or willing to be). References mandatory. Pay subject to negotiation and experience.

Hiya, please have a look at this. Thank you :). Live in or Live out nanny available from April. I am an experienced Nanny (13+ years of experience) with children of all ages (from 4 weeks old to 16 years old) looking for a permanent position. I've got recent CRB, 1st aid, I've been driving in London for years and can travel if needed.

I'm always proactive, taking initiative, making sure I follow family's wishes how to do things the way they're used to. I love to cook for children from scratch, using a lot of vegetables, making sure they get enough vitamins and minerals. In some families we used to cook in bigger batches and freeze it in small containers (with a date written on them) and re-heat it during the week for dinner. I make soups, salmon pies, sweet potatoes puree - combined with other steamed vegetables, etc etc. - I can make anything there are plenty of recipes on YouTube and cookbooks ;)

I've been to so many play groups, Gymboree, music classes, libraries, swimming classes, etc throughout the years and I'm familiar with many of the places all over London. It's always a great feeling helping little ones overcome their shyness, seeing them making their first friends and be there for them when they learn how to share toys with others :). I'm good at singing, love drawing and playing with toys - making up stories to keep them entertained. I know most parks in London and I'm used to go out in all weather - as they say "there's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing." We often pick up leaves, sticks, conkers, flowers and incorporate them into "art" (statues) and paintings at home... I make friends very easily, which is helpful especially during the winter months when we can go to play dates with other nannies in the area.

My cleaning is to a very high standard since I've lived with families in some incredible houses throughout my Nanny career. I know how to separate and wash clothes without any mistakes - I've been looking after expensive brands most of my life. I'm always happy to help with any errands, if needed.

I'm here to help and to make sure the mum feels comfortable and safe leaving her baby with me, so that she can focus on whatever she needs to do without being worried. I always put children and their safety first before anything else. Please get in touch for more information and I'll be more than happy to come for an interview when it suits you. Thank you, Ingrid - I currently live in Tooting Broadway - will relocate closer to my new work
