Where to buy fresh flowers/flower arrangements?

Postby NoMorePeppaPig » Wed Jun 08, 2011 7:24 am

We are having a party and I would like to buy a number of fresh cut flowers/flower arrangements. However, I refuses to use the florists on Northcote Road/Bellevue Road as they are outrageously expensive! I am happy to travel further afield, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a place that is good value, please?!

Thank you :)

I've never been, but always wanted to, and great if you're buying in bulk!

I would also recommend going to New Covent Garden Market at Vauxhall, we do this whenever we want lots of cut flowers around the house. If it helps a bunch of flowers which I buy in the florist at Clapham South for £60 would cost under £20. The only problem is you have to arrange them yourself which i'm not great at but one of my firends is so I get her to do it for me!!

Hi The Flower Sanctuary in Hildreth Street (Balham) is wonderful. Ive bought several hand tied bouquets from there over the last few months. The lady who runs / owns? it is great :) I think ive seen them recommended on here before but cant remember when or where.

If you want to go cheap and do it yourself, you cant beat New Covent Garden. Be prepared to pay the 4 quid entry charge for the car, and you can also get lots of vases there as well. Give yourself plenty of time as you can browse for hours!
