Colonic Irrigation...

Postby ordinarygirl09 » Sun Jun 19, 2011 11:50 am

Anyone have experience of this? And can anyone recommend a good place to get colonic irrigation. I've been having some stomach problems recently and have been told a colonic will help. So will take a deep breath and book in for one (bit squeamish at the the thought) and hopefully it will do the trick.

Live between the commons but don't mind travelling.

I've had it done. (People on NVN know way too much about me!!) I quite enjoyed it, in a strange way. Once I'd got over my freaked-out-ness, it was fine. Obviously, the practitioners have seen it all before and are pretty blase about bottoms!

I went to a place near Clapham Common station, but I think it's gone now.

I know the place you mean, mrs amanda, I think it was called Common Sense and yes it has closed down now which is a shame as I had a really good massage there. I can't actually vouch for the place but i noticed that Lavender Heal on Lavender Hill do colonics.

I psoted again yesterday, but it's gone! Yes, it was Common Sense and having googled, they had massive fire last July and not reopened. (The fire was during the day and I think they had clients; wouldn't want to be half way through a colonic when that happened!!)

Sorry, was no help to your question.

Hi There,

I run a small complementary health centre in the heart of Balham. We offer colon hydrotherapy daily, and have taken on many of the therapists from Common Sense. It is probably one of our most popular therapies.

For more infomation have a look at our website.

HIhi, yes i have done it multiple times also started when having intestinal issues. I swear by it! Ok when the tube initially is passed in...first time maybe not so pleasant but the people are so good, takes a sec and seriously; its all between your ears. I went to Balance the Clinic on crossing sydney street and kings road. They are very famous for it and the team is v good. I have tried 3 diff women (dont really feel v comfy having a man do it...) and they were all good but especially Amanda, she is the founder of the clinic and quite the guru when it comes to detoxing you and pointing out the real issues.

I am 8 months pregnant and have been eating loads of things i shouldnt have so i cant wait to go again after delivery. You feel so clean and light walking out of there! Go for it once and try!

Apparently Common Sense is opening again at the end of July. Think a few of the therapists may be returning, but its only hear say.

Hia!
I know this post is quite old, but thought that I'd reply anyway ;)
I am actually the manager of what was 'Common Sense'. As some of you may know, we DID re-open in August 2011, only to close again in August this year, due to our lease not being re-newed (the free-holder wants to turn it into flats!!)
The directors of the business have ceased trading, but I and many of the great practitioners HAVE relocated just around the corner (within 'Hidden Secrets')
15, Clapham Park Rd
SW4 7EE (just opp St. Marys Church)
The new website is www.common-sense-health.co.uk & the tel is 020 7720 9988
We are still practicing our fab holistic therapies, and have added some new ones too!
So come in, log on or call ......and pass it on! :D
Many Thanks
Sara Daly

Colonic is really really good to get rid of all that built up junk in your colon . It helped massively with my IBS .
I initially did 5 sessions quite a few years ago at the Siam Lavender Hill . Not sure if they still do it but that therapist left .
I have tried various other places esp using Groupon vouchers otherwise a course can tend to be expensive.
I have been to Common Sense but never for colonics ...
