Special nanny/aupair plus wanted– full time live-in

We are a looking for a very special aupair plus/nanny to join a very special family in Clapham, full-time and live-in. Recently widowed father of five children (aged 14,13,12, 9 and 5) needs a wonderful person to join the family and look after the children/household, with love and sensitivity. Start date: Late august/early September.

Please only apply if you can drive and if you speak fluent English.

DUTIES
1) Childcare
a) Termtime (2 children, aged 5 and 9; the older 3 children are at boarding school):
Getting children up, dressed, breakfast, ready for school.
School drop-off and pick up
Supervise homework, and take to any afternoon activities, arrange playdates
Cook tea, supervise bath, put to bed

b) Holidays and Half term (supervise 5 children, aged 14, 13, 12, 9 and 5)
Full-time supervision and arrangement of children, from 8.00am - 8.00pm

2) Household Management
Responsible for weekly shop, and for cooking healthy meals for the family
Responsible for the family's laundry, and children's ironing.
Responsible for daily tasks in kitchen such as keeping it clean and tidy, undoing dishwasher, hanging out washing
Responsible for arranging/liaising with any tradesmen/the cleaner (who comes 4 hours per week)
Running errands eg drycleaners, getting car serviced, sorting out travel arrangements for children, and anything else to ensure smooth running of the household.


3) Keeping abreast of family's schedule
Helping ensure smooth running of the children's lives, liaising with family members, grandparents etc, keeping track of all key dates at the respective boarding schools, exeat w/e's and helping to organise the necessary transportation.


The ideal candidate will be:
Loving, kind, sensitive person, with lots of emotional intelligence
Mature, capable and sensible
Efficient and well organised
Can-do attitude and prepared to muck in to family life, with 100% flexibility and the willingness to turn your hand to whatever is asked of you
Must be a driver – manual car
Must have English as a first language or be able to communicate in English as if it were a native language
Non-smoker

HOURS
Monday to Friday 8.00am - 7/8.00pm, with 2 nights babysitting per week
During term-time, the children will be at school so there will be no childcare between 9 and 3, so there will be plenty of free time. It could suit someone who is studying.
