Parental leave - dad looking for a hangout? Post Reply

Hi, we've just moved to the area and I've started my parental leave, ending January, and keen to find other dad's to meet for daytime coffee or activities - with the babies obviously  

I've been to some great play groups with my 7m old boy and met some lovely mums, though it has felt just that bit harder/trickier to actually ask for their numbers to plan a casual meetup afterwards. I've not met any dads in those groups at all unfortunately.

So any dads out there, reply if you'd like to hang out!

You could try the Triangle children centre in Balham I have met the occasional dad there and I think they may have a dads and baby day but I haven’t been for a while.

Also had some nice chats with dads at Bertie and Boo on Balham high rd. It’s a very rare thing though sadly..

Hi! There’s a dad’s playgroup that meets in South Wimbledon on Monday and Friday mornings http://www.dadsandlittluns.co.uk/. My husband, Ben, is normally there on a Friday. He’s been going for a couple of years now and has found it a great place to go for both him and our son. I think he felt the same as you about the other classes around which tend to be more mummy dominated. They also have pub outings in evenings just for the dads!

There is a Dads' playgroup 'Men Behaving Dadly' at St Mark's on Battersea Rise (entrance through the glass doors on Boutflower Road) on the first Saturday of every month, 9.30-11.30am.

The blurb: "Dads! Join us for a relaxed morning with coffee, bacon butties, lots of play for the little ones, and a chance to meet some other blokes from the area."

Harry’s chocolate emporium near Tooting Bec tube has an informal stay at home dad’s meet up this Wednesday at 10am. I can’t find details on their webpage but saw this on Instagram yesterday.
