I was expecting my Waitrose shop to turn up with loo roll and it didn't? I've been to Saisnburys, Tescos or WaitroseI but no joy and can buy some on amazon but it seems to be 6 rolls for £20 or it won't be delivered until mid April. Any help massively appreciated!

Hi,

I don’t know where you live but I noticed last night that the coop (along the Abbeville road in Clapham) gets its deliveries at about 9pm in the evening and they had loads at that time last night.

I don’t know if that is helpful but I’m sure the other supermarkets are the same and will either have loo rolls just before closing or early in the morning when they open.

Please can someone tell me why you are all going loo roll crazy c virus affects respiratory and other issues it has nothing to do with backsides so why are all you lot so obsessed with clearing out supermarkets for the sake of toilet roll .maybe it's because your bying so much pasta you need it more you all need to get a grip it's not the end of the world.these inconsiderate people that are bulk bying and not thinking about the elderly.

Who puts such a thing on nappyvally were to buy loo rolls.its because the worlds  going loopy because of C Virus theres plenty in the little shops that stay open late just seems silly to put such a thing on nappyvally .

Forget the supermarkets. Try the small convenience stores. They have plenty. Maybe not the brand you want but better than nothing.

The whole thing is ridiculous. The U.K. is an exporter of loo roll so we’re not going to run out. People are just going crazy, no doubt fuelled by the pictures of empty loo roll shelves in the press. I really wish the media would be more responsible and stop reporting this stuff. It’s become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I was in ASDA yesterday (not my usual, but they had some superb deals on single malt Scotches, so I was panic buying due to impending whisky apocalypse).  Passing the loo roll aisle, the shelves were bare but a lad had just wheeled out a pallet of them which had been decended on by a crowd, like a scene out of a zombie movie.

As an afterthought I managed to grab one pack and I was loading it onto the checkout belt with 3 bottles of scotch, the girl at the till laughed and made a joke about me not getting my 5-a-day, then nodded at a couple of guys with a trolley piled high: "they won't be happy when i tell them it's a 2 pack limit for loo paper".  

It seems the supermarkets are operating a policy after all...

Go to your local corner shop. They are desperate for business. My local corner shop on Balham High road had plenty of loo role when I last bought some milk.
