Hello

My daughter has been offered a place at Finton House. I really loved the school however we live at Clapham Common northside. I just wondered for anybody who has children attending that school what the drop off situation is in the mornings and how busy roads are with parking etc?

My kids don't go there but I live quite near there and the roads are a nightmare at that time. You would be better off parking on the far side of Wandsworth Common and walking across. It would probably be quicker too.

Hi I have dropped my neice off a couple of times over the years and I don't think it is any worse than dropping at any other school at that time? I think all roads around schools seem pretty backed up in my experience.

Our daughter goes to Finton and the traffic is hellish. You can't park on the road itself -- understandably and the roads around are totally jampacked. It takes me an hour round trip to drop and we live in central Wandsworth. Brilliant school though.

No parking allowed at all on Wandle Road where the school is situated - part of the agreement from when the school was founded.  

But it's a lovely cycle ride across the commons from Clapham Common Northside!

I live on Wandle Rd so I stress you are not allowed to park on the road for drop off and pick up . The residents are extremely tired of the Parens ignoring the rule making life for us difficult and increasing pollution while they sit in the car with their motors running. It is enforced and the headmaster and residents police the road. FYI.
