I have just purchased a new property. I have approximately 3 acres to mow now. I am in need of either a riding mower or a zero turn mower. The previous owners of the property were using a Bush Hog brand zero turn mower. I find prices on those quite high, I am also looking at Gravely. Others are telling me a yard tractor/riding mower to be more useful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to install a flag pole in my front yard. The peak of my house is ~14' so I was thinking a 15'-20' pole. I've seen they have solid ones and telescoping ones. Any thing I should look for? I plan on flying the American flag as well as the state of Florida flag. What's the best way to light the flags? Any tips on the install?

Some time ago I had a Sun Joe garden tiller and I was satisfied with it, so when I was choosing a lawn mover I decided to choose a Sun Joe model too. I think, you may google it. But unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. I don't really know why, but it is still not the perfect lawn mower. Anyway, I use it this year and I'm planning to change it for something else.

Sounds like you have quite a big lawn if you're looking for a self propelled one!

Have you considered a robot lawnmower?

The Flymo range or Husqvarna ones might be the one you need. Flymo is roughly 500-700 pounds. The great thing is it goes out everyday to do micro cuttings, so your lawn is always the right height you want it.

Otherwise, I do have a gardener that I use that brings his own lawnmower, and charges £20/hour. If you're interested in his details, let me know.

Final thing, never ever mow your lawn when it is wet. The blades will rip the grass out of the ground.

We have fake grass- have you considered that? you can get very realistic stuff now, and 3 acres would probably come out a similar price to a large mower, plus you would never have the hassle of actually having to mow it. 

Flagpole regulations stipulate no higher than 4.6m, and the law recently changed to permit the flying of 2 flags. 

This is a really good idea, as the flags will let everyone know your nationality or affiliation from quite a long way away. It should be quite easy to light them if they are polyester, otherwise you could to use a mild propellant.
