PA/Property Manager

Postby hjpm » Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:17 pm

We are a small property management company with 5 employees. We maintain properties for landlords and listen to their needs as well as those of their tenants to facilitate relationships between the two parties.

We are looking for two Property Managers to join our team to look after around 25 properties each in the long term.

Day to day we troubleshoot issues, keep landlords and tenants up to date transparently, organise and check on maintenance, carry out check-ins and check-outs, carry out inspections and other ad hoc duties.

We work hard to ensure property issues are resolved as swiftly as possible, and we genuinely care if our tenants have to go without. We also make sure that properties are well-maintained, sometimes improved, and given what we call ‘love’.

You do not need previous property management experience - we have found it is more relevant to have PA or similar experience for this role, though it is not a requirement. We offer full internal, external and ongoing property specific training.

If you have or enjoy the following then it might be the role for you:

A high level of attention to detail in what you see, in written correspondence and the service level you provide and a high level of professionalism

(To demonstrate your attention to detail, please write a covering letter with your application and reference the word ‘yellow’ when applying)

Interest in listening to and actioning what a client wants, not what you want, similar to what you would expect in a PA role

A desire to help people and make a difference

A high level of honesty with yourself and others. Sometimes we have to deliver bad news and we find honesty is always the best policy. We also work closely as a team - if you make a mistake, be honest about it and take responsibility

Appreciation for administration, organisation and keeping records tidy

Love of creating your own systems to optimise efficiency

Happy on your own working on your own portfolio of clients and properties, but also working within a wider team - you must be able to delegate if busy or help someone else if not

Being busy. There is always something to do so days fly by. You should not being afraid to work hard and to muck in to support the rest of the team

Reasonable computer skills including use of Excel, iPhone, apps etc.

An interest in developing yourself. Without a doubt the role will bring up areas you will need to work on both personally and professionally and you will need to be open to your own growth to take the role to the next level and not reach a wall

You will need to be able to drive - though no need to have your own car - and to be happy being out at properties regularly (typically around 30% of the time in non-Covid times)

If you are interested please send your CV to helena@hjpm.co.uk.
