Profhilo

Postby Tiredmumma » Sat Mar 06, 2021 11:20 pm

Hello, has anyone had Profhilo treatments? would you recommend it? And if so... I’d love a recommendation for a clinic!

Yes and it’s great.
It’s not anti-aging as such. It just makes you look like a fresher, less tired version of yourself!
Think post-holiday, rested, well slept sort of skin...

It’s more expensive than Botox but you can’t really compare them. I think some people do both but I’ve swapped to profhilo and am happy with it.

I’ve tried a few places but can recommended the new skin clinic on Northcote road opposite the Bolingbroke pub.

They also do it at the laser centre in Clapham old town next door to The Dairy but it’s hard to get an appointment because it’s a visiting nurse who is only there half a day per week
The Northcote road place has somewhere there all day every day, and it was completely painless.

Ticktack -  a few quick questions as I been considering have this for a while - is there bruising etc afterwards?   Is it a true stright-back-to-work lunchtime procedure as they advertise?  Or is it noticable for some time that you have had something done?!  Thanks in advance : )

I’m not an expert, just someone who has had it done..!

No bruising of any sort. The needle they use is tiny so would be hard to see how it would cause any.

And yes, back to work (or back to the laptop at home) Steiger afterwards.
Your skin looks worse after a facial than it does after the injections.
It’s just half a dozen tiny pin pricks that disappear after an hour, and it then over the course of a couple of weeks, your skin just starts to glow a bit.

I’ve had Profilo . You need it 2x spaced I think 8 weeks apart then every 6 months . It is just an internal moisturiser nothing more . I had it done in Harley Street but it was so expensive I have switched to the skin clinic in Bellevue Rd who has a dr come do it . There is no bruising and it takes about 4 weeks to see a difference . I can recommend the clinic in Bellevue Rd , sw17 as being just as good as Harley Steeet . It just makes your skin look moisturised and healthy .

The clinic’s name is Melissa Coupe . I would only have a Dr do it by the way . And it is not Botox, shouldn’t be compared to Botox . You can google it.

Yes, I have had it for a few years now, can thoroughly recommend it! I too have been to the new clinic, Skin Emporium on Northcote road just before this last lockdown, and can thoroughly recommend that too, very kind lady doctor as I do get a bit funny around needles!
